Little Secrets of unexplored Africa

it took us less than 30 minutes to get here. So Nyeri has its little secrets too. Quite unexplored though we did find a group of youth who are organizing themselves to turn this area into a tourist attraction and their efforts will not go unnoticed.

We also found out that they have fish at the bottom and were lucky enough to catch a catfish

The river that feeds this little place would be mistaken for a trickle but once you get to the bottom of this little gem you understand why it is not a good idea to joke with nature

they did inform us that "Wazungu" are fond of coming to swim here

after visiting this little place we decided to go on an adventure. The children here were more than happy to show us paths through places where little farming has been going on and there is more planting of trees for the purposes of conserving the environment

We discovered excellent locations for camping and even had the luck to see small species of antelope and wild birds and hare. This left us wondering if the community only understood its assets it would help itself grow by bringing in much needed income and keeping idleness at bay.
