so this was the first site that greated us. it simply took my breath away maybe because i like water so much or ravines i dont know but it was so African
it was down there and i was way up here. What better way to look at nature
and jump we did. i love it when my kids enjoy themselves and i have fun too without having to worry about how grown up i am
next it was to our rooms to check out how comfortable this would be but before we settle we had to see all of it. I LOVED THEM and they were so nice and clean.
would it be down by the open field for camping or simply to do cartwheels and roll in the green grass next to the Nanyuki river
aha that looks nice i wonder what it is...
aha it is the bar next to the crying rock. They tell me many parties have seen the light of day in this place and i can totally understand because if they can camp so many people and right here be able to put up my music and drinks ...ehe why not
the crying rock of the middle dessert. it so cute and i kept thinking a frog might jump at me from any spot. but i did suggest fish would love to swim in the rock pool maybe some ornamentals i would probably just sit and stare
time to go north and see what else is here
and north we did through the trees to the .......
Our guide told me this cute house and they are six of them with different colours are made from the soil in the area which happens to be i think clay. so i wanted to see for myself exactly what the land had to offer maybe i would get a great idea for a cute little house at my grandmas place. i was so suprised by the interior
the inside wall and it was so cool away from the blazing heat that can sometimes be Nanyuki
the clean oh so clean toilets
i just had to take a pic of myself in the mirror. but wait the room choices were not yet over ...
the tent just blew me away and in the end i preffered this one with the excellent view of the snowy peaks of Mt.Kenya
even then i could not resist the picture of myself in that absolutely gorgeously themed African Mirror. time for dinner lets see what the restaurant looks like
aha just lovely and they did have a TV. what would we do without a good game of football
time for a few games now i decided i had not played badminton in a while
and on to the great out doors. i would have taken a bike or a horse but for this one i decided to walk
and contemplated a little fishing while staring at the devils kitchen. I wonder what in the world turns those stones black without fire or smoke near them but its an intresting geological affair. A topic for another day indeed
i contemplated eating cup cakes while staring at the distant Daiga hill. That rock looks like a cup cake for real
this trip would never be enough without trying my prowess at climbing Nyani hill - named by myself but i got stuck and had to have my guide come get me...NEXT TIME I WILL CONQUER YOU I PROMISE
AND the dry river beds were a must pass through as i went to get the mountain bike for an afternoon ride before downing very well cooked 'kienyeji chicken'.
